Happy Independence Day!!!

Happy 4th everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful and fun filled day with your friends and family.

Yesterday we attended the celebration being held on the base and it was very nice. They had kiddie rides and some free kids activities, some music, and food of course. We were able to take Lilly on all of the rides but sadly by time we were done with that we left, due to the massive crowd. Mr. W had worked all day before hand and was tired, so by the time we got home he was only wanting to sleep. So we ended up missing out on the fireworks.

I feel like it would have been a lot more fun except a majority of the crowd was actually local Italians. (keep in mind it was a U.S. Independence Day celebration) and see this wouldn't normally upset me, but many of you stateside may not know that there are some Italians that really don't like the fact that the U.S. has bases here. Just days before the celebration one of the small out posts near by was vandalized by a group of protester.

It just made it a the whole thing a less fun experience than what I had hoped for.
